The Go West Management Group is enormously grateful for the contributions of all the many volunteers who have taken part in its projects over the years.
Volunteers are vital for the success of every Go West activity. As volunteers ourselves we understand the rewards and frustrations of this type of activity but we hope you will enjoy your time with us.
Before you contribute your precious time please read this page carefully.
The Go West Management Group does its best to ensure the protection of its volunteers but the nature of the projects makes it necessary for all volunteers to take full responsibility for their personal welfare and the welfare of those with them.
Go West volunteers need to be be self-financing. Expenses are occasionally offered for some assignments but they must be agreed before undertaking the assignment. An Expenses Form will be forwarded to the volunteers when such arrangements been agreed.
Go West volunteers never work alone with children or vulnerable adults. With a few exceptions Go West does not require its volunteers to be CRB tested BUT it does operate a strict Safeguarding Policy to which all volunteers MUST subscribe when they are working with or near children.
All written communication with volunteers will take place electronically - except in exceptional circumstances and when otherwise agreed.
All Go West volunteers are invited to workshops and mentoring sessions and to take part in celebrations.
All volunteers are sent the Go West Newsletters and Blog.
Volunteers are invited to do as much as is appropriate for them. Deadlines are strictly adhere to.
Only volunteers who sign and return an Assignment Forms will be insured under the Insurance policy of the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Life.
When your registration has been processed we will email you a personalised Assignment Sheet to consider. If you agree to undertake the tasks involved and agree to.
