GO WEST WELCOMES VOLUNTEERS

About Go West

GoWest is an unincorporated association of volunteers, managed by volunteers.

GoWest grew its roots in CARL, the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Life in the Anglican Diocese of Worcester, UK.

GoWest relies entirely on the generosity of its volunteers for all its activities.

All registered volunteering activities are covered by the Go West insurance provided the volunteer is registered with GoWest and follows the instructions outlined in an Assignment Brief.  Very occasionally GoWest can offer expenses as long as they are agreed in advance.

Prospective volunteers

  1. Get more of an idea of what we do. Take a good look around this web site and our sister site for Heritage Detectives and Countryside Explorers.
  2. If you have any questions do contact us
  3. If you like what you see sign up to receive copies of our occasional Newsletter.
  4. Have a look at the current Assignments to see if there is anything you might be able to help us with. Everyone who has signed up for Newsletters will automatically hear when new assignments are added to the list.
  5. If something appeals express an interest on a Volunteer Registration Form which you can download here.
  6. Wait to hear that your offer of help has been accepted.  You will receive a full Assignment Brief in writing which you should formally accept before starting your assignment. This way you will be fully briefed and insured for the assignment.

Thank you

Sandy
